Privacy Policy
At Becoming by Unity, your privacy matters.
This Privacy Policy explains how Monana Wellness LLC, doing business as Becoming by Unity (“Becoming by Unity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, protects, retains, and shares information when you visit becomingbyunity.com, contact us, book an appointment, purchase an offering, complete an intake form, participate in one of our services or experiences, or otherwise interact with us.
By using our website or providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We May Collect
The information we collect depends upon how you interact with Becoming by Unity.
Contact Information
We may collect information such as:
- Full name;
- Preferred name;
- Email address;
- Telephone number;
- Mailing or home address when required;
- Date of birth when relevant to services;
- Emergency contact information; and
- Information you voluntarily include in messages or inquiries.
Appointment Information
When you book massage, facial, or other appointment-based services, we may collect:
- Service selected;
- Appointment date and time;
- Booking history;
- Cancellation and rescheduling information;
- Appointment communications;
- Payment-method authorization; and
- Other information reasonably necessary to administer your appointment.
Client Intake & Service Information
For professional hands-on services, we may collect information reasonably necessary to determine whether and how a service may be provided safely and appropriately.
Depending upon the service, this may include information you provide regarding:
- Relevant health history;
- Injuries;
- Surgeries or recent procedures;
- Pregnancy;
- Allergies or sensitivities;
- Medications relevant to receiving the service;
- Skin conditions;
- Areas of discomfort or concern;
- Physical limitations;
- Treatment preferences;
- Areas you do or do not want addressed;
- Contraindications;
- Current care relevant to the service; and
- Other information you choose to provide that may affect your service.
We seek to collect information that is relevant to providing the requested service rather than an unnecessarily broad medical history.
Florida law recognizes certain information concerning medical history, physical condition, medical treatment, or diagnosis as protected “personal information” when combined with identifying information.
2. Assessment and Session Records
When you receive massage therapy, facial/esthetic services, or another service for which professional documentation is appropriate, we may maintain records concerning your visit.
These may include:
- Date and time of service;
- Type of service;
- Provider;
- Client identifying information;
- Information you reported before or during the session;
- Relevant assessment observations;
- Areas addressed;
- Techniques or services provided;
- Modifications requested or made;
- Consent-related information;
- Client feedback;
- Post-session observations or reassessment;
- Self-care information discussed;
- Follow-up information; and
- Additional professional notes concerning the session.
These records are maintained for professional continuity, safety, documentation, legal/regulatory obligations, and legitimate business purposes.
Our client records are not intended to create diagnoses outside the provider’s professional scope.
3. Payment Information
We may require a valid payment method when you book certain services.
Payment information may be processed and stored through a third-party payment processor rather than directly on Becoming by Unity’s website or internal records.
For example, modern payment processors such as Stripe use tokenization so merchants can use a stored payment method without retaining the raw card number themselves. Stripe states that its systems can replace sensitive payment credentials with tokens and that businesses using its payment infrastructure can reduce direct handling of sensitive card data.
Becoming by Unity does not intend to independently store full credit-card numbers or card security codes in client notes, intake forms, email, or ordinary website forms.
Where a card is maintained “on file,” it should be maintained through the authorized payment processor.
Your payment method may be charged as authorized for:
- Services or products you purchase;
- A 50% late-cancellation fee when an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before its scheduled start time; or
- A 100% no-show fee when you fail to attend the scheduled appointment without notice,
in accordance with the cancellation policy you acknowledge when booking.
4. Website Information
When you visit our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically by our website host, analytics providers, or other technology providers.
Depending upon the tools enabled on the website, this may include:
- IP address;
- Browser type;
- Device information;
- Approximate geographic information derived from an IP address;
- Pages viewed;
- Referring pages;
- Date and time of visits;
- Website interactions; and
- Cookie or similar technology identifiers.
We may use this information to operate, secure, understand, and improve the website.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as:
- Essential website functionality;
- Security;
- Remembering preferences;
- Scheduling or checkout functions;
- Website performance;
- Analytics; and
- Advertising or marketing, if such technologies are enabled.
Where legally required, choices or consent regarding nonessential cookies will be provided.
Because the specific cookies depend on which Hostinger features, analytics services, advertising pixels, scheduling tools, and other integrations you ultimately enable, this section should be reviewed whenever those technologies change.
6. How We Use Your Information
We may use information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries;
- Schedule and administer appointments;

- Maintain professional client and session records;
- Communicate about appointments;
- Process authorized payments;

- Protect the safety and security of clients, providers, and our systems;
- Maintain required business and professional records;

- Protect our legal rights.
We do not intend to use detailed client health or session information for unrelated advertising purposes.
7. Email and Communications
When you provide your email address or telephone number in connection with an appointment, inquiry, transaction, or service, we may use it to send communications necessary for that interaction.
These may include:
- Appointment confirmations;
- Reminders;
- Rescheduling communications;
- Follow-up messages;
- Receipts;
- Responses to your inquiries; and
- Important policy or service communications.
Marketing communications should be handled separately from necessary service communications.
Where required, you may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe method provided in the message.
Unsubscribing from promotional emails does not prevent us from sending necessary communications concerning an appointment, purchase, account, or transaction.
8. How We May Share Information
We do not sell your personal information as part of Becoming by Unity’s ordinary business model.
We may share limited information with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the business.
These may include providers supporting:
- Website hosting;
- Appointment scheduling;
- Secure client records/forms;
- Payment processing;
- Email delivery;
- Cloud storage;
- Website analytics;
- Accounting/bookkeeping;
- Information technology and security; and
- Other legitimate business operations.
These providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own legal obligations and applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law;
- Respond to valid legal process;
- Protect our rights;
- Investigate fraud or security incidents;
- Protect a person’s safety where disclosure is legally permitted or required; or
- Facilitate a business transaction involving Monana Wellness LLC, subject to applicable legal requirements.
9. Massage and Esthetic Records
Information obtained through massage or esthetic services is treated as confidential professional information and is accessed or disclosed only for legitimate service, operational, legal, safety, or regulatory purposes.
Becoming by Unity will not casually disclose information you share during your session.
Where information must be disclosed because of applicable law, licensing obligations, valid legal process, or another legally recognized requirement, we may make the disclosure permitted or required by law.
10. Separate Providers and Services
If Becoming by Unity collaborates with another independently licensed professional, your information will not automatically be shared simply because the professionals collaborate or refer clients to one another.
Each professional may maintain separate records appropriate to that professional’s scope and legal obligations.
Where information sharing between separate providers requires your authorization, we will seek appropriate permission before sharing it unless disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
11. Privacy and HIPAA
A privacy policy should not promise that Becoming by Unity is “HIPAA compliant” merely because health-related information is collected.
HIPAA applies to specified covered entities and business associates, not automatically to every wellness or massage business collecting health information. Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights likewise contains an exemption for covered entities/business associates governed by HIPAA, illustrating that these are distinct regulatory frameworks.
Regardless of whether a particular record is governed by HIPAA, we take the confidentiality and security of client information seriously and seek to protect information consistent with applicable Florida and federal requirements.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain.
However, no website, electronic transmission, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Florida law requires covered commercial entities to take reasonable measures to protect and secure personal information in electronic form and establishes obligations following qualifying security breaches.
For that reason, sensitive client information should be collected and maintained through systems selected for that purpose rather than through ordinary email or a general website contact form whenever reasonably possible.
13. Data Breaches
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and take action appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
Where Florida or other applicable law requires notification to affected individuals, regulators, or others, we will provide such notification in accordance with applicable requirements.
14. Record Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as necessary to satisfy applicable legal, professional, regulatory, tax, accounting, safety, and business obligations.
Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.
Massage records will be retained for at least the period required under applicable Florida law and may be retained longer pursuant to our professional record-retention policy.
Information no longer reasonably required will be securely deleted, destroyed, or de-identified when appropriate and reasonably practicable, subject to legal retention obligations.
15. Information About Minors
Our website and independent booking services are generally intended for adults.
A person under 18 should not independently submit service intake information or book a professional service without the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian when required.
Where we agree to provide a service to a minor, we may collect information about both the minor and the parent/legal guardian necessary to establish consent, communicate about the appointment, and safely provide the service.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information online from children for marketing purposes.
16. Your Privacy Requests
You may contact us to:
- Ask what personal information we maintain about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of information where deletion is legally and operationally available;
- Ask questions about our privacy practices; or
- Withdraw a consent that is legally capable of being withdrawn.
Some information cannot be deleted immediately upon request when we are required or reasonably permitted to retain it—for example, professional service records, transaction records, tax documentation, dispute records, fraud-prevention information, or records required by applicable law.
Requests may be subject to reasonable identity verification before information is disclosed, changed, or deleted.

17. Florida Privacy Laws
Florida has several privacy and data-security requirements rather than one rule that applies identically to every business.
Florida’s Information Protection Act applies broadly to covered commercial entities maintaining specified personal information. Florida also has a separate statutory data-privacy framework in Chapter 501 with its own applicability provisions and controller obligations.
Accordingly, rights available in a particular situation may depend upon the applicable law, type of information, nature and size of the business, and reason the information is being processed.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit privacy rights provided by applicable law.
18. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.
Examples may include appointment scheduling, payment processing, social media, maps, video/audio platforms, online marketplaces, or other services.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of a third party before providing information directly to that service.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, website technology, legal obligations, or privacy practices change.
The current version will be posted on this website with its effective or last-updated date.
If we make a material change affecting how previously collected information is used, we will take additional steps where required by applicable law.
